Performers and Staff
Shows like this can't make it to the stage without a great team working together.
Our team is more like a family, and we want you to be a part of that family too.
Josh originally hails from Labrador City and left home after high school to attend The Randolph Academy For The Performing Arts (2012). He moved to Corner Brook in 2018 and his recent credits include playing Angel in RENT (OBP), the title character in Mr. Burns: A Post Electric Play (Hard Ticket), and dancing in Totally 80’s (Dance Studio West).
Kitchen Supervisor/Performer/Graphic Designer
In 2011 Daniel moved from Riverside-Albert, a small community near Moncton, New Brunswick and quickly found a new home in Corner Brook’s bustling arts community. With a decade long career in fine dining/catering food service and a lifelong love of performance art, Daniel brings a lot to the table.
Daniel is responsible for all of our imaging, including the company logo and the logos for all of our shows.
Born and raised in Grand Falls-Windsor, Joel is still new to the west coast area. Classically trained at the piano and a graduate of the MUN School of Music, Joel’s first appearance in Corner Brook was the role of Mark in the Off-Broadway Players' production of Rent in the fall of 2018. Dinner Theatre specifically has been a major part of Joel’s professional career with hundreds of shows and a dozen seasons on stage with the Queen Street Dinner Theatre in Grand Falls-Windsor.
Joel is super excited to be able to bring his experience to a new company and spend his time on stage with his new Corner Brook theatre family.
Emma is a Steady Brook native and a graduate of MUN Grenfell Campus' Theatre Program. Her past credits include Stage West Theatre's presentations of Ernest and Ernestine and A Fine Time, Grenfell's Three Sisters and Romeo & Juliet, Rising Tide Theatre's West Moon and No Man's Land, as well as Double Sure Theatre's presentation of Her Closely. She could not be more excited to be working with this fine group of performers for New Found Family Drama's first season and into the future!
Chris has been passionate about the drums since he was a small child when his uncle gave him his first set of sticks at the age of seven. He also has a passion for extreme sports and spent three years following a dream of professional snowboarding in Whistler, BC before returning to Newfoundland with his partner, Jennifer in 2008. As he was unable to take his drums to BC, his mother gave him a Horner accordion and a tin whistle, which he became proficient at playing while living away. Chris currently plays in a heavy metal band, Sludgefist, who just recorded an album at Village Music this summer.
Born and raised in Corner Brook, Noah always had a love for music. He started piano lessons when he was only 4, and that love started to blossom. Only until he went to a summer camp for musical theatre did he realize music would be a lifelong passion. He has since taken a step off that stage, to work on his original music and to perform with other artists around the west coast. Hopping back on stage with the talented folks at Newfound Family Drama Company, he is ecstatic to mix the theatre with the music once more.
Angele began her adventure in drama in junior high school and continued into high school teaching drama with Young People's Theater in St. John's. Fate and friendship brought her back to the stage when she moved to Goose Bay and she hasn't stopped since. Some of her previous roles include Miss Hannigan in Annie with Mokami Players, Mrs. Dilber in A Christmas Carol with TNL and Edna in two productions of Ed & Ed. Angele is also a member of The Off Broadway Players where she made her debut as the Bag Lady in their production of Rent in 2018.
Erica moved to Corner Brook in September 2010 and renewed her love of theatre in 2013 when she became a member of the Off Broadway Players. She has also performed with Theatre Newfoundland Labrador and Hard Ticket Productions. Some of her past roles are Claire in OBP’s production of Rumours and Edna Krabappel in Hard Ticket’s Mr. Burns: A Post Electric Play. Erica has also been a member of the company in a number of OBP’s musicals including Cabaret, Jesus Christ Superstar, Blood Brothers, Chicago, and Rent. Erica is excited to be taking the stage in the role of Diana for New Found Family Drama.
Originally hailing from Saskatchewan, Jennifer has been a long-time lover of food. After first learning to bake with her aunt on the family farm, Jennifer found her new talent. After moving to Newfoundland, she discovered that she either needed to learn to cook food with a flair or survive on rural Newfoundland cooking. After years of trial and error, as well as hours of YouTube, she learned to hold her own in a fine dinning restaurant where she worked as Head Chef and Kitchen Manager. Now she spends her time running her business Tall Poppy Catering and Events as well as cooking professionally for New Found Family Drama Company.
We are sad to see them go, but
wish them all the best.
We couldn't have done our first season
without these fine Performers on our team.
Good luck in your next adventures everyone!
